For addressing climate change impacts, cities play a significant role in fostering sustainable development and emphasizing the importance of climate action. To drive the urban climate agenda forward, it is imperative that climate science and knowledge is accessible to all relevant stakeholders, such as practitioners in urban local bodies (ULBs), policy experts, researchers, scholars, and university students.
The European Union International Urban Cooperation (IUC) in India programme and the Energy & Resources Institute (TERI) delivered a Webinar Series on Mainstreaming Urban Climate Action towards this objective. The Webinar Series consisted of 4 short webinar modules that focused on climate change impacts in cities, context-specific adaptation and mitigation interventions, best practices, and mainstreaming climate action for informed urban planning and governance.
The 4-part Webinar Series was organized from 10th September - 1st October 2020, every Thursday, 3.00 pm - 3.30 pm IST.
