FOWPI Project Management Team
At the major event of ‘RE Expo India Conference/Summit’, FOWPI project management team hosted a workshop on ‘Offshore Wind Energy’ on 20th Sept 2017 to strengthen the country's offshore wind energy programme. The workshop delivered key knowledge pertaining to the Indian Offshore Wind Power Development through talks delivered by speakers from different aspects of the sector represented by the European as well as Indian stakeholders. The FOWPI Project Management Team also unveiled the Knowledge Bank during the event.

Speaker Profiles
Henriette Faergemann (Environment, Climate and Energy Counsellor, EU Delegation to India)
Ms. Faergemann is responsible for cooperation between the EU and India in these areas and in the area of Urbanisation and Smart Cities. Amongst others, Ms Faergemann has created the India-EU Water Partnership, The India Resource Efficiency Initiative, the India-EU Clean Energy & Climate Partnership, including initiatives to support offshore wind, energy efficiency, smart grids and the solar parks programme. Prior to joining the EU Delegation Ms Faergemann was working in the European Commission in Brussels since 1998: as a Member of Cabinet for Environment Commissioner Ritt Bjerregaard. in the European Commission's Directorate for Environment, responsible for preparing new EU Member for accession to the EU and as Team Leader responsible for inter-alia water scarcity & droughts, water & agriculture, water efficiency, adaptation to climate change and water innovation in the Unit responsible for protection of water resources.
Anand Wagh (FOWIND)
Anand Wagh is an Electrical Engineer with post-graduation in MBA Finance. He has over 17 years of experience in power sector. His core area of expertise includes techno-commercial studies in renewable energy, policies and regulations, renewable energy project planning and appraisal etc.
He is a part of FOWIND project team and working on this project since November 2015.
Per Vølund (Project Manager, FOWPI)
Mr. Per has extensive experience of 22 years in offshore wind energy sector in the domain of project development, contracting, construction activities as well as operation and maintenance (O&M), this includes a decade at DONG Energy within offshore wind.
He played a role of technology innovator and pioneer in the development and implementation of Danish’s first 40 MW offshore pilot project of Middelgrunden Offshore Wind Farm from 1995-2000, London Array Offshore Wind Farm in UK, Borkum Riffgrund Offshore Wind Farm in Germany and several others.
Benoit Serot (Siemens Gamesa)
Holds a Master’s Degree in Management Science and Engineering (Master’s Thesis:” Optimization of the sizing and the operations scheduling of a Chinese microgrid”), from Tsinghua University, Beijing. And a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, from the Superior School Of Electricity, Rennes.
Passionate about renewable energy alternatives and Asia Pacific, his core motivation is to define the best strategy for offshore wind and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in the region. His analytical and technical background support him in creating the right market opportunities, in the search for a sustainable future for the industry.
Abhilakh Singh (IREDA)
Mr. Singh is heading the Wind, Solar, Small Hydro and IT divisions of IREDA. He is also the Management Representative for ISO 9001:2015 and Transparency Officer under the RTI. He has over 20 years of experience in wind and solar project financing. Prior to joining IREDA, he was Sr. Scientific Officer with STQC, ME&IT, Govt. of India and was responsible for quality control and environmental testing. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers, and the Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE). He is also members of Solar Energy Society of India (SESI) and its Treasurer.
Mr Singh is an Electrical Engineer from IIT Delhi and has a Master’s degree in consultancy management from BITS.
